You have no control over anyone or anything. What you have is the illusion of control, and with it, the illusion that you’re in control of your own life.
Trying to control the world around you, you believe you’re controlling your existence.
You believe that your husband or wife, your partner, your child, your parents, your boss, your employees, your job, your car, or your home belong to you, that you have control over them, that they give you certainty.
It’s very convincing, because your beliefs create an illusion of control, making you believe you have control over your own life.
You’ve become a prisoner of the material world, without even realizing it. You usually notice it only when the thing you’ve become attached to disappears. And chaos begins. It lasts for a while, but before long, the cycle closes again. The old attachment is simply replaced by a new one.
And you’ll fight to protect your belief or attachment. You’ll defend it at any cost. Because you’ve come to believe that it defines who you are. That without it, you do not exist. And that cycle will continue, until you finally understand who and what you are.
Let him read who can.
